The Gallery at Jasper Park Lodge is known all around the world as a source for paintings of the Canadian Rockies at the highest level. Here too is authentic and original Native Art.

Jasper in January

— Last two weeks of January

Spring Run Off

— First Sunday of May

This annual 10 km running race sponsored by Totem Ski Shop takes participants around trails #4 & #7 and ends at Lake Annette picnic shelter. Contact Totem Ski Shop at Totem Ski Shop

Jasper Children’s Festival

— Third Saturday of May

The Jasper Children’s Festival is an annual event open to all. The day of fun & games takes place outside at the Jasper Activity Centre from 11:00 am to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 per person or $20 per family, children 2 and under are free. Popular Children’s entertainers, crafts and games are featured.

Jasper Rotary Club Lobster Fest

— First Saturday of June

The Jasper Rotary Club’s annual fund raiser for seafood lovers! Held at the Jasper Activity Centre, this is a savory affair not to be missed. Dinner and dance.

Canada Day

— July 1 is Canada’s national holiday.

What better place to Celebrate Canada’s Birthday than in Canada’s largest Rocky Mountain Park, Jasper National Park. Special events throughout the day include a pancake breakfast, parade, flag raising, bands, entertainment and fireworks.

Parks Day—Take A Hike

The Friends of Jasper National Park offer this fun, family–hiking event to celebrate Parks Day—designed to promote awareness, appreciation and respect for our National Parks.

A registration booth will be set up the morning of the event in front of the Parks Canada Information Centre.

Hikes will go at 10 AM, 2 PM and 7 PM.

Jasper Heritage Folk Festival

— mid – August in odd numbered years

This biennial folk festival is in the superb setting of a World Heritage Site and offers an unparalleled backdrop to enjoy an extravaganza of music and fair. Jasper Lions Indoor Professional Rodeo

— middle weekend of August

This annual event attracts top cowboys and stock from around the world. Events include bullriding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, barrel racing and more. There are dances Friday and Saturday nights featuring top Canadian Country entertainers.

Freewheel Biathlon

— Last Sunday of September

This annual event is a local favourite.

The race consists of a 30-km bike ride to Athabasca Falls parking lot via highways #93 and #93A followed by a 10-km road and trail run looping from the Athabasca Falls parking lot to Fryatt Creek and back.

The race starts at 1:00 p.m. and is followed by a dinner and awards ceremony at the Caledonia Grill at 6:00 p.m.

Jasper National Park Wildlife Festival

Jasper Root Romp

— Third Saturday of October

The Jasper Root Romp is an annual, 10-km trail race that has been billed as one of the toughest in North America.

Run, walk or hike the scenic trails that will take you by mountain lakes and streams, through aspen groves and pine forests.

Scrooge Days

— Opening day of Marmot Basin until just prior to Christmas holidays

Prices low enough to make even Scrooge smile! Come celebrate the start of the ski season in Jasper and at Marmot Basin. Package includes lift ticket, accommodation (at one of Jasper’s fine inns or lodges), and 3 meals daily.
