JASPER, ALBERTA (CANADA) – Sunwapta Falls is a frozen wonder during the winter months in Jasper, Alberta that delights photographers (professionals and amateurs) with its “ice sculptures.” Sunwapta (which means turbulent river in Stoney Indian) abruptly changes course at the falls from northwest to southwest and plunges in a cloud of spray into a deep canyon.
