The Jasper Booster is Jasper’s one and only weekly community newspaper. A mirror on the community, the Booster is a must-read for long-time residents, those new to town and visitors just here for a short stay. |

Covering local events from hockey games and ski races to school concerts and Canada Day festivities; chronicling and commenting on Jasper’s politics, environmental and governance issues and decisions from Ottawa affecting the park are all part of providing a rough draft of Jasper’s history – one week at a time. Jasper has had a number of newspapers since the Jasper Totem began publishing in the 1950s. The Booster has been publishing weekly since 1963. The transient nature of Jasper, means by definition, that people move on. Hundreds of them take a subscription to the Booster along with them. |
